Hosting Dozer Day

September 2007, the Walker Company hosted, what was arguably, the most talked about event in Mount Sterling—Dozer Day 2007. It was an opportunity to give back to a community that supports them, by giving kids from two years to middle-school age the chance to explore and even operate heavy construction equipment.

A crowd of more than 3,000 attended this heavy equipment theme park that benefited a worthy cause. Admission was $5 per family, which included lunch and free gifts such as a camera to document the day's exciting activities. All the proceeds and contributions, totaling nearly $12,000, were then donated to The Caring Group, an organization in the Gateway area that serves families in crisis situations. Walker Turns 75

Seventy-five years is a long time to be around. For some people, the thought of turning 75 years old conjures up images of hip replacements, hearing aids and memory loss.

For The Walker Company, turning 75 years old is cause for celebration. This year marks the company's 75th anniversary, and the Walker Family and staff happily greet this milestone with open arms and a proud history. Click for full article.
