Mustard Seed Hill Development

Project Description

The historical Millersburg Military Institute (MMI) campus was reimagined with the vision of Community Ventures – a company focused on the revitalization and improvement of communities. The abandoned campus was transformed into a lively 10-acre development with new drive lanes, parking areas, and walkways plus renovated gymnasium, the Allen House, McIntyre House, Miller Hall, and Kitchen facilities. Rebranded to Mustard Seed Hill, the campus now hosts visitors, events and weddings, and is home to the Bourbon Christian Academy.

I want to express Community Venture’s gratitude for the work of the Walker Company during our Mustard Seed Hill project. From the planning stages to the completion of the project, their staff was very organized, prepared, and professional - even on the most difficult of days.

It’s hard to find companies today that will match Walker’s quality of work. The communication skills that were displayed were exceptional, from timely e-mails to phone calls on a daily basis to both our own employees and other contractors on-site. The Walker Company staff exemplified what it means to be a team player while working with a collection of different trades.

With daily obstacles that included other contractors, they were always helping us look for solutions and offering to reorganize their work if needed to make things come together at the end of the day. We have been blessed to work with such a committed, talented and professional group of people.
